In this video, I show you how to take a manual snapshot of your AWS Lightsail instance and create a new instance from the snapshot. Keep in mind that the new instance can’t be a small size than the instance from which the Snapshot was created. This is a good way to backup your instance after you have made significant changes like updating the OS patches, Server software updates etc.
AWS recently reduced their Lightsail pricing by as much as 50% and so to take advantage of this, you can upgrade your instances using the process I show you.
